WE ARE LAKE PEOPLE
Shoreline is a marine construction company based in Indian Lake, Ohio, run by the husband-and-wife team, Derek and Suzanne Gillespie. With deep roots in the community — both having grown up with family homes on the lake and now residing there year-round — they have a long-standing connection to the water. Derek founded Shoreline Construction in 2007, initially focusing on boat docks and seawalls around Indian Lake. As the business expanded, Suzanne took on office responsibilities, helping to manage the growth.
The company's reputation soon spread to nearby lakes such as Grand Lake and Buckeye Lake, leading the Gillespies to pursue more challenging commercial projects. They now handle a diverse range of work for clients including the Ohio Department of Natural Resources, Honda, Diamond Manufacturing, AES, Spend-A-Day Marina, McDonald’s, many condo associations and engineering firms.
